My father was born in Stratford in 1932. His family came to the area in 1892
from Arkansas. A lot of our family are buried in Lewis Cemetery. I just recently
found the webpage for Garvin County, and so far have looked at the unknown
photographs (
http://www.okgenweb.org/~okgarvin/unknown/garvinunknownphotos.html ). Photo
7 is a young man in what I believe to be a uniform from World War I (
http://www.okgenweb.org/~okgarvin/unknown/c24.jpg ). I do not know who the
person is, but it looks like he COULD be a person in an old photograph that
belonged to my grandparents. Unfortunately, we do not know who is in the
photograph, so it is another "unknown" photo. I am attaching the photograph if
you would like to post to the website as well. My father is Charles Edward
Cottrell, his parents were Lawrence Hudson Cottrell & Lucille Bell. It was
Lawrence's grandparents (my 2nd Great-Grandparents). Their names were Lawrence
Marion Cottrell & Martha Jane Tucker. My branch from them would be Joseph Elzie
Cottrell & Marilda Ann Shoults.
